Kerri TS #2

     Today was my first Skype tutoring session with Jun, my child tutee living in South Korea. I was initially worried about tutoring over video chat, but Jun was very talkative and spoke English very well. We did a short session today because we were just getting to know each other, but in the future I plan on incorporating more interactive teaching methods into our sessions. We played "Show and Tell", and Jun told me about a comic book he recently began reading. He asked me what I like to do for fun, and I told him about my recent ski trip to Colorado. He has also been skiing, though he prefers to sled. I am going to try to read more about Jun's interests, so I can keep his attention focused on our sessions. I think using games and music will be helpful in this regard. I look forward to tutoring him more in the future!
