Helena CO #1

My first classroom observation was with Candace's 8:50-9:50AM grammar class. I truly enjoyed observing her class, for I'm personally a good learner via observation. I saw Candace actualizing all of the methods of English instruction that we had learned in our TEFL classrooms. For example, Candace would, unwaveringly, ask her students to read out sentences or phrases for the class every single chance available. This we had learned in our TEFL course as an effective and practical way to get students to practice their English production, and seeing it in practice proved its purpose. Students were able to hear their mistakes and learn from them on the spot once the class would correct a student's mistakes together, which happened quite often. I definitely enjoyed my first classroom observation and am excited to see what I will learn from my next observations!
