We talked about life in Tallahassee as international student. We are both on scholarship and discussed how we manage to cover our expenses. However, student came here with the family. Apparently, Tallahassee is not very cheap. Daycare only costs around $700. Student was saying that governmental scholarship does not cover all the needs. We shared some experience about our past year in Tallahassee. Then we started to talk about future goals. Due to financial reason student is planning to move to another State, which will be more affordable. Then, we talked about TOEFL exam and I share my experience taking it. Also, I explained that it is important to read more about the program at each university. Sometimes, university might offer degree with the same title, but the program emphasize will be different and courses offered might be different too. So, we went to the university that student is applying, and I showed how to find more information on the specific program. Therefore, student asked me to help with university search. We agreed to look over the options during the next session.
