CO #2
For this classroom observation, I sat in on Mrs. Debbie's Foundations Composition class! It was very entertaining. The plan for the day was for the students to create an easter basket out of paper and then write a composition describing the steps that they took and discussing the activity. I was even able to make an easter basket myself. Mrs. Debbie discussed with the students the traditions that people in the United States follow on Easter Sunday, which is coming up in a few days. She also introduced a few new vocabulary words that are needed to understand to create the paper basket. These words the students must use in their composition. I found this to be an excellent composition activity, for the students will be communicating something they have actually experienced and understand fully. It was also quite fun!
