Matthew CO#1

The very first class that I got the pleasure of observing was Sana Mcharek's Grammar class. Immediately I was blown away with the amount of diversity in the classroom. Sana had everybody introduce themselves to me. The students came from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Peru, Ivory Coast, etc. I had never met so many people from different countries all at once, and it confirmed to me that this is definitely a career that I wish to pursue. She briefly touched on simple past tenses, subject verb agreement, and questions in simple past. The speaking activity was very interactive and had partners ask each other the 5 "Wh" questions with inclusion of the word did i.e.) "Where did you go, yesterday?","What did you do". The students liked the activity and I found that it was a very natural example of "grammar in use".
