Today was my first tutoring session with Maria. She is from Colombia. She is a Level 1 student but has advanced to Level 2 in Writing. Maria wants to learn English to be able to enter the Master's program at a University in Colombia. I worked through several exercises with Maria and we did reading and comprehension activity in order to evaluate her skill level better. We have decided to focus on improving her writing skills and using grammar appropriately in her sentences. Maria told me that she learns better with visual aides.
that was good that she let you know her learning style. I am sure you will make faster progress with her now that you have that information
