Robert CP #3

Yesterday during lunch break at CIES Mario and I went to have lunch at Suwannee’s dining hall to practice talking in English. Mario and I talked about what he had planned for his spring break in three weeks. He said, that he plans on possibly taking a trip to the beach with some other students that attend CIES as well. I could tell he was having a few difficulties in trying to make out complex full sentences. He was able to say enough to where I could understand him and give him feedback on how to say the sentence using the correct tense. He always wants to talk in past tense for every sentence he says. I tried to explain to him as much possible in English to try and make him understand. He was able to understand the future tense a lot easier than present. The next time we meet together I was thinking about taking him to a park or restaurant and talk with him and ask him questions that will force him to speak in present tense to help improve his verb tenses.
