Brian - CO #1

For my first classroom observation I watched the lowest level fundamentals class.  One of the topics discussed was "what is a noun," so obviously these are absolute beginners. This was a class of students who had almost no English base.  The teacher spoke very slowly, and the students were shy as they didn't understand everything she was saying.   The students were shy, but not disengaged, as they were all genuinely interested in what was going on, and got a lot of enjoyment from the interactive activities done in class, more so than any other class I observed.   This would be a difficult class to teach as something as simple as "open your book" might not be understood.  The teacher was very energetic and patient, as she needed to be.
