I had my second tutoring session with Ali today. Ali is from Libya and is on Level One.  He really wants to improve his conversation skills therefore our session centered on building conversation skills.  We used a visual aide, I showed Ali several short videos of basic conversation.  One video showed how to talk with a friend regarding what they did on their  vacation .  The second video showed a person going into a store and returning  a previously purchased article.  He learned new vocabulary, which I had him write down and we discussed the definitions of the new words.  We paused each video at the end and did role play. He really seemed to enjoy the role play and said it gave him more confidence to have conversations with Americans.
