4A Grammar class.
Teacher started lesson from warm up exercise to review the grammar. Students had to use adverb clauses and answer following question “Were you encouraged to come to USA? Who encouraged you?” This was written assignment. Next was speaking assignment. They had to use notes from last class and review adverb clauses.
After review, he presented agenda. Rest of the class was dedicated to practice grammar that they learned yesterday. It was combination of written and spoken practices. While students were practicing teacher walked around and collected mistakes. After they did review of “beautiful mistakes”. Almost all of the mistakes were corrected by students. Except only one, that was grammatically correct but as he said is not very consistent from native speakers point of view.   Also, I liked how he was able to adjust his second “beautiful mistakes” review session when he realized that he is running out of time. Instead of doing group review, he just gave individual feedback, when he was walking around.

Every exercise was timed and took from 2 to 5 minutes. Combination of written and speaking practice kept students awake all the time. Students were active except at the beginning with notes review session. Because some students didn't have their notebooks with them, so they had nothing to review.
