I tutored P.J. for the first time last evening.   We worked on some materials that he needed to prepare for school, which was basically a book about different types of vultures and related vocabulary.  My best success came from really getting him interested in the subject through youtube videos, and a little joking around here and there about anything we saw in the book.  After he was interested and cheerful the learning came easy.  By the end of our session he was actively understanding and communicating the particular ideas and vocabulary in the book at a strong rate, as i quizzed him.  My first ever tutoring experience was great and I look forward to the next.
