The third classroom observation I went to was the most advanced class I attended.   The teacher spoke natural fluent english the entire time, and the students were always right with her.  They did many activities that required the students to read quickly and scan text for answers.  They read passages from a book, and did an exercise where they had to read a real newsletter, and answer questions about the events in the newsletter by searching and scanning at a moments notice.  This class seemed to be really preparing the students for normal life activities one would encounter every day.
